Meet Our Staff
Julie Heywood. - Owner/Teacher
Julie graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She taught for five years as a classroom teacher. She started Little Learners Preschool in 2005 and loves teaching children. She and her husband have two children, Jacob and Kate. When Julie is not teaching, she enjoys exercising, traveling, and reading.
Marsha Davis - Teacher
Marsha attended Cal State Chico where she received her Early Childhood Education units. She taught preschool for twelve years. She has taken some time away from teaching recently to start a new business with her husband. She is very excited to be working with children again! She and her husband have four children, Ryan, Courtney, Daphni, and Madison. She loves spending time with her family and walking their four dogs.
Varna Facha - Teacher
Varna graduated from Cal State Hayward with a BA in Liberal Studies and a minor in Early Childhood Education. She taught preschool for five years while attending college and earning a teaching credential. She taught elementary school (Kinder, 1st, 2nd) for ten years before deciding to become a stay at home mom. She is thrilled to be teaching young children again. She and her husband have two children, Ryan and Mia. Varna enjoys reading, camping, and boating with her family.
Julie Moran - Teacher
Julie graduated from UC Davis with a BS degree in Clinical Nutrition. She had every hope of becoming a registered dietitian until she stepped into the classroom and felt right at home teaching.She earned her California Teaching Credentials and taught 3rd grade at Lammersville Elementary and Wicklund Elementary in Mountain House. She has provided daycare with a preschool emphasis for her fellow teachers before opening her home to preschool. She is thrilled to be teaching again and part of the Little Learners team! She and her husband have three energetic little boys. They love to travel, go camping, and spend time with their families.
Heather Delbridge - Teacher
Heather joined Little Learners after running a day care out of her home. She brings her experience and love of children into the classroom. Heather loves coming to school each day to see her Little Learners smile, grow, and learn! Heather and her husband have 3 children; Brandon, Madison, and Connor.
She keeps busy camping with her family, vacationing, and watching her children play sports.
Heather Engen - Teacher
Heather graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Clinical Psychology and a Minor in Nutrition. She taught within the Preschool setting while earning her degree. Later, she worked as a Behavior Consultant for children with Autism and other related language disorders. In the past few years she has been subbing within the preschool setting. With her three children all of school age now she is thrilled to be a part of the Little Learners teaching family.
